IIFA Awards 2006

The IIFA awards ceremony was held in Dubai in the year 2006. The ceremony was witnessed by more than over 10,000 people from countries such as India, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Netherlands, the Reunion Islands, Mauritius and the UAE. The event was presented with Best International Global Event Award for South Asia in 2006. The show was kick started by the IIFA Inaugural Press Conference and the IIFA World Premiere of Jagmohan Mundra's 'Provoked'. The film ‘Black’ (directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali) bagged the highest number of (nine) awards. Given below is the list of winners who were presented with the prestigious awards for the year 2006
