IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) carried bollywood beyond Indian shores to celebrate the best of Indian movies globally. The star studded event was first held at the Millennium Dome in London in 2000. The IIFA best action award was introduced in 2008 and the inaugural award was together bagged by Javed Sheikh and Ejaz Sheikh for the film ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’.
