Zee Cine Awards 2005

Zee Telefilms Limited was the first media company to foresee the importance of Bollywood award show in the Indian Cinema industry. Hence in 1998, Indian Cinema industry saw the creation of Zee Cine Awards (or ZCA). The primary objective of the event was to reward the best artists in Bollywood. Zee Cine Awards 2005 were also known as Sunfeast Zee Cine Awards or 8th Zee Cine Awards 2005. The ceremony was held on 26th March at Excel Arena in London. A pleasant level of comfort was created by the hosts Karan Johar and Juhi Chawla. She also sang a song from “My Brother Nikhil” and saw the audience gasping for more. Next was Pakistani superstar Omar Shariff who cracked up the audience with his jokes. Lara Dutta and John Abraham made their entrance on a bike in true Dhoom Style and announced ‘The Best Newcomer’ award. The show started with Zayed Khan and Amrita Arora’s performance. The pair danced to a range of songs which included some funky British Asian tracks, as a nod to the host city. The show also witnessed Salman Khan do a jig to Sun Zaara from the Film “Lucky”.
