Zee Cine Awards were inaugurated in 1998 and parented by Zee Telefilms Limited. Over years ZCA has established itself as the most prestigious award for Bollywood. The show went international in the year 2004. Zee Cine Awards 2006 were also known as LIC Zee Cine Awards or 9th Zee Cine Awards 2006. The event was held on 4th March at Swami Vivekananda Convention Center in Mauritius. Bollywood’s sensuous girl,Mallika Sherawat and the suave director, Karan Johar teamed up to host the 9th Zee Cine Awards. Rani Mukherjee, Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, Dia Mirza and Amrita Arora were the fortunate Bollywood beauties to perform with King Khan on stage. A medley of songs was played from various films of the Yash Raj banner as a tribute to Yash Raj Films. Monty Sharma walked away with the special award for the year. Both Rekha & Rishi Kapoor was honored with the esteemed ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award. The winners of various categories are listed below.
