Best Male Pop Vocals

The Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance has been handed out since 1966. The title of the award has seen numerous changes over the years. In the year of its inception it was known as Best Contemporary (R&R) Vocal Performance - Male. In 1967 it was combined with the equivalent Grammy award for women and awarded as Best Contemporary (R&R) Solo Vocal Performance - Male or Female. In 1968 the title was changed to Best Contemporary Male Solo Vocal Performance. From 1972 to 1994 the award was known as Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male. In 1995 the present title, Best Male Pop Vocal Performance was introduced. The biggest winners in the category are Stevie Wonder, Sting and John Mayer each walking away with four awards each.
