The Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary gospel Album has been handed out since 1991. It was initially awarded as best pop Gospel Album, in 1994 the title of the award was changed to Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album. Steven Curtis Chapman is the most honored artist in the category with three awards.
