The title of the award was changed to Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance (Orchestra, Group or Soloist) from 1986 to 1989. Jeff Beck is the most awarded in the category with five wins including one in 2010 for his rendition of “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles.
