The 25th Grammy Awards were held on February 23rd 1983, at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The Academy presented awards to the musicians for their ‘stand-out’ performance in the year 1982. The show was hosted by John Denver. Toto, Stevie Wonder and John Williams were the artists nominated for most of the categories. It was a successful evening for the band Toto at the show; it won 6 Grammys for the year; whereas Al Green and Marvin Gaye conquered 2 Grammys each. ‘The Trustees Award’ was presented to Les Paul. John Gielgud, Ralph Richardson – No Man’s Land was nominated and presented with ‘Best Spoken Word, Documentary or Drama Recording’ Award.
