Grammy Awards 1984

The 26th Grammy Awards ceremony was held on February 28th 1984, at Shrine Auditorium in New York City. The anchor for the night was John Denver. The Academy presented awards to the musicians for their outstanding performance for the year 1983. Bela Bartok was presented with ‘The Trustees Award’. Michael Jackson was nominated for 10 categories for the year. The Police and Michael Sembello were nominated for four categories each. Michael Jackson was the big winner for the year, winning a total of 7 Grammys. Sting and The Police Lyrics were the other two artists who were presented with highest number of Grammys for the year.
