In 1969 the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) introduced the award for ‘Best Actress in a Television Drama Series’ at the Golden Globe Awards. The official title of the award has since changed recently, it is now known as ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama’.p
