The glitzy Filmfare Awards were set up in the year 1954. The awards were introduced to acknowledge the best talent in the film industry. A film in bollywood is considered incomplete without good music and dance. It is an art to plan dance routines for songs in films. The Best Choreography award was introduced in the year 1989. The award is presented to an artist for choreographing the best dance sequence for the song in the film. The inaugural award was presented to Saroj Khan for the track ‘Ek Do Teen Char’ (Tezaab). Saroj Khan and Farah Khan are the two artists to have won this award many times.
